Applied ecology for the conservation of aquatic predators
Surrounded by the lush subtropical rainforest of the Province of Misiones (Argentina), where four freshwater ecoregions meet, we find inspiration to conduct scientific research aimed at the conservation and sustainable use of aquatic predators and their ecosystems.

Our work is focused primarily on sharks and rays (Chondrichthyes) from both marine and freshwater ecosystems, but we are also conducting research on South American caimans.

We are part of the Iguazú campus of the Institute of Subtropical Biology, a research unit co-administered by the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and the National University of Misiones.
